Er bod cenhedlaeth newydd o gyffuriau bellach yn cyrraedd y farchnad, mae bwlch hanfodol rhwng eu hargaeledd a'u heffeithiolrwydd profedig mewn ymarfer clinigol. Un o'r heriau canolog yw gallu celloedd canser i addasu i driniaethau. Mae'r celloedd hyn yn ailweirio eu metaboledd, gan ddefnyddio'r maetholion sydd ar gael i danio twf, goroesi straen, a gwrthsefyll therapi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mae Dr Cronin yn ymchwilio i'r llwybrau metabolaidd unigryw y mae celloedd canser yr ofar\u00efau yn dibynnu arnynt i ffynnu, yn enwedig o dan bwysau triniaeth. Mae'r t\u00eem yn canolbwyntio ar ensym penodol sy'n gyfrifol am drawsnewid asidau amino - blociau adeiladu hanfodol o broteinau ac egni - yn ffurfiau y gall celloedd canser eu hecsbloetio.
