Ar \u00f4l dros ddegawd yn barafeddyg - gan gynnwys rol arweiniol gyda Th\u00eem Ymateb i Ardaloedd Peryglus Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans y De Orllewin<\/a> (HART) \u2013 symudodd Matt i'r byd academaidd fel Darlithydd mewn Gwyddoniaeth Parafeddygol ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe. Mae ei addysgu wedi'i lywio gan brofiad gweithredol helaeth, gyda ffocws ar baratoi parafeddygon y dyfodol ar gyfer gofynion esblygol gofal cyn-ysbyty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fel rhan o'i PhD gyda SUSIM, mae Matt yn ymchwilio i r\u00f4l ac effaith dysgu seiliedig ar efelychu (SBL) o fewn addysg parafeddygol. Mae ei ymchwil yn archwilio sut mae dylunio, cyflwyno a gweithredu efelychu yn dylanwadu ar gymhwysedd, hyder a gwaith t\u00eem myfyrwyr mewn amgylcheddau dan bwysau uchel.

Un o brif ganolbwyntiau ei waith yw deall dimensiynau anghlinigol ymarfer parafeddygol, megis arweinyddiaeth, gwneud penderfyniadau a chyfathrebu, sy'n hanfodol ar gyfer perfformiad effeithiol yn ystod digwyddiadau mawr. Drwy ddadansoddi sut mae timau'n cydweithio ac yn addasu o dan straen, mae ei ymchwil yn cyfrannu at ddatblygu systemau parafeddygol mwy gwydn ac ymatebol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae dulliau gwerthuso Matt yn cyfuno arsylwi strwythuredig, adborth gan gyfranogwyr, ac asesiadau cyn ac ar \u00f4l efelychu i fesur canlyniadau clinigol ac ymgysylltiad dysgwyr. Nod ei ganfyddiadau yw diffinio beth sy'n gwneud efelychiad yn effeithiol yn addysgol ac yn ddilys yn weithredol \u2013 gan wella parodrwydd wrth feithrin myfyrdod a hyder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gan gydnabod cyfyngiadau efelychu o'i gymharu \u00e2 phrofiad yn y byd go iawn, mae PhD Matt hefyd yn archwilio sut y gellir gwella ffyddlondeb, dadfriffio, a realaeth senario. Drwy fireinio'r ffactorau hyn, mae ei waith yn ceisio cau'r bwlch rhwng hyfforddiant efelychiedig a pherfformiad ar y safle, gan sicrhau bod sgiliau'n drosglwyddadwy i argyfyngau go iawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae technoleg sy'n dod i'r amlwg fel realiti rhithwir (VR), realiti estynedig (AR), a manicins manwl gywir yn chwarae rhan gynyddol yn ei ymchwil. Mae'r offer hyn yn cynnig amgylcheddau dysgu trochol, ailadroddadwy, a diogel sy'n efelychu cymhlethdod digwyddiadau go iawn, gan gefnogi'r genhedlaeth nesaf o hyfforddiant parafeddyg sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gan edrych ymlaen, mae Matt yn bwriadu trosi ei ganfyddiadau yn welliannau ymarferol o fewn rhaglen Gwyddor Parafeddygol Prifysgol Abertawe a thu hwnt. Trwy gyhoeddiadau a adolygwyd gan gymheiriaid, cyflwyniadau cenedlaethol, a chydweithio \u00e2 Grwp Ymchwil Efelychu Addysg a Gwella Iechyd Cymru<\/a> (AaGIC), mae'n bwriadu dylanwadu ymarfer efelychu ar draws addysg gofal iechyd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ei nod yw cryfhau parafeddygaeth fel disgyblaeth sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth - un sy'n gwerthfawrogi rhagoriaeth glinigol, yn ogystal \u00e2 gwaith t\u00eem, yr addasrwydd a'r gwneud penderfyniadau sy'n sail i ofal effeithiol mewn amgylcheddau cymhleth a dan bwysau uchel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
