{"id":1874,"date":"2024-10-28T11:25:25","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T11:25:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nish.wales\/?p=1874"},"modified":"2025-01-29T12:34:36","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T12:34:36","slug":"health-insights-workshop-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nish.wales\/en\/2024\/10\/28\/health-insights-workshop-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Insights Workshop Series"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In conjunction with <a href=\"https:\/\/arch.wales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ARCH<\/a> (A Regional Collaboration for Health), we are hosting free Health Insights Workshops for third-sector organisations and companies working in the health sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshops follow the publication of the regional <a href=\"https:\/\/nish.wales\/en\/2024\/02\/13\/health-needs-assessment\/\">Health Needs Assessment<\/a>, which provides clarity on the current state of health and wellbeing amongst the specific population of Hywel Dda University Health Board and Swansea Bay University Health Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assessment aimed to provide a foundation for evidence-based decision-making for research and innovation in health and wellbeing across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, with a focus on enhancing patient experiences and outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshops are an opportunity to gain a valuable understanding of into your community\u2019s health and wellbeing needs. The events will include updates on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Population &nbsp;Profile<\/strong>: Information about the people who live in the region and future population trends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation<\/strong>: Data on the areas facing the biggest challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll also discuss the most prolific health issues facing these populations, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cardiovascular conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-term illnesses that limit daily activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chronic conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Premature death<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lifestyle risk factors, such as smoking and diet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2-4pm, 4th February:<strong> Port Talbot Civic Centre, Neath<\/strong> <strong>Port Talbot<\/strong><br>2-4pm, 7th<em> <\/em>February: <strong>Swansea<\/strong> <strong>University Singleton Campus, Swansea<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-ee856660 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-center wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/national-network-for-innovation-in-sport-health-90474870643\"><strong>Register now<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In conjunction with ARCH (A Regional Collaboration for Health), we are hosting free Health Insights Workshops for third-sector organisations and companies working in the health sector.
