{"id":2581,"date":"2025-03-28T09:27:31","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T09:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nish.wales\/?p=2581"},"modified":"2026-03-11T08:52:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T08:52:21","slug":"case-study-a-peace-of-mind-in-dementia-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nish.wales\/en\/2025\/03\/28\/case-study-a-peace-of-mind-in-dementia-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Study: A peace of mind in dementia care"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cprglobaltech.com\/\">CPR Global Technology Ltd<\/a> are a Swansea-based technology company with a strong track record in creating products that provide consumers with well-designed solutions that are manufactured to the highest possible standards, innovating for everyday life.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CPRs existing product range includes call blocking technology was born out of a needed solution to block Personal Harassment Calls, so the CPR Call Blocker&nbsp;was developed&nbsp;in 2010&nbsp;and has over 1 million customers and over 1 billion robocalls worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More recently the team have developed and deployed&nbsp;<strong>Guardian II Smartwatch.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over nine months, a collaboration&nbsp;between Swansea University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swansea.ac.uk\/medicine\/enterprise-and-innovation\/business-support-projects\/accelerate-healthcare-technology-centre\/\">Healthcare Technology Centre<\/a> and CPR Global Tech provided a solution&nbsp;that overcame&nbsp;several&nbsp;challenges,&nbsp;including&nbsp;researching the&nbsp;social and economic burden of dementia care,&nbsp;data&nbsp;analysis and evaluation of&nbsp;existing technologies on the market, evaluation of the Guardian II&nbsp;SmartWatch&nbsp;capabilities,&nbsp;mapping of technology capabilities of need in dementia care, and opportunity costing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ambitious timescales were&nbsp;achieved and recommendations for future&nbsp;research, development, innovation,&nbsp;and&nbsp;marketing activities were recommended. The&nbsp;Healthcare Technology Centre developed a report outlining the landscape of dementia care and market opportunity, that was used for marketing and access opportunities, RD&amp;I on product development, results conclusions and recommendations on current product.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chelsea Davies, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CPR&nbsp;Global Tech<\/strong> said, <em>&#8220;It\u2019s been so exciting to work with Accelerate Healthcare Technology Centre on our latest project combining industry knowledge with academia and has really been a great insight to what people both want and need with the research behind it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This experience has been invaluable for CPR Global Tech we look forward to continuing our collaborations with HTC&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HTC is now working with CPR Global Tech&nbsp;on further&nbsp;collaborations to further expand their portfolio in dementia care.&nbsp;
