Develop Your Leadership Potential in the Sport, Health & Wellbeing Sectors

The Swansea University ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management is now open for applications – a professional development opportunity designed specifically for those working in the Sport, Health and Wellbeing sectors.

This programme is ideal for junior managers, supervisors, or aspiring leaders across a wide range of organisations – from universities, local councils, and charities, to SMEs and businesses within the health and wellbeing ecosystem.

Current participants include professionals from university sport departments, council teams, and NISH members.

Through a mix of masterclasses, experiential learning, and reflective practice, participants will:

  • Discover contemporary leadership tools and strategies
  • Learn how to engage and motivate people effectively
  • Develop the skills to plan and implement change
  • Enhance organisational performance and productivity
  • Create a personal leadership development plan

Completing two assignments will earn delegates an ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management, accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management and recognised by the CPD Standards Office for up to 40 hours of CPD (subject to attendance).

  • Schedule: Approximately one day per month (9am–4pm)
    • Dates: Feb 5, Mar 5 & 19, Apr 16, May 14, June 11, July 9 2026
  • Location: Swansea University, Singleton Campus

If a participant misses an occasional session, catch-up options can usually be arranged via Teams or Zoom – though full attendance is strongly encouraged.
